Refereeing is an integral aspect of the process of football development process

Physical Tests of Referees for “FIFA Referee List 2016” started today on 9th October, 2015 at Khanewal Stadium at 5.00 pm.

Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat President PFF has said that the successful referees will get numerous international exposures through which they will contribute in the uplift of the game in Pakistan as referees role is always very important. “Refereeing is an integral part of football development process and PFF will leave no stone unturned for enhance the quality of Pakistan’s referees” Faisal said.

In this regard FIFA Elite referees including Khurram Shehzad, Shafaat Habib, Muhammad Ali and Hadayat Ullah have reached Pakistan to take part in the tests respectively from Qatar, Myanmar and China where they were to officiate AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers.

Other referees include the following names FIFA .A. Referees: Majid Khan, Dilawar Khan and Arsalan Sharif

X-FIFA Referees: Rana Naseer Ahmed and Irshad Ul Haque

National Assistant Referees: Adnan Anjum, Muhammad Waqas, Mehmood Ul Hassan, Asad Mehmood and Javed Akhtar

8 Referees will be short listed after the physical fitness test out of above mentioned 14 referees names of whom will be sent to FIFA for the year 2016 to officiate International matches by FIFA and AFC

PFF has nominated Mian Abdul Bari X-FIFA referee, Salahuddin Awan MA AFC Instructor and Muhammad Arif Siddiqi MA AFC Instructor while Muhammad Babar Khan has been nominated as the PFF coordinator for the tests.
